Desi ‘Al’ Flores,PT, CFCE, Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator, Hablo Español
Al Flores is the Director of the WorkSafe™ Program, which focuses on the evaluation and treatment of the injured worker. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1995 from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and his Physical Therapy degree from the prestigious University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 1998. He was first certified in FCE’s in 1998 through WORKWELL® and later certified in 2008 through OCCUPRO® and received his CFCE designation. He enhanced his expertise there by obtaining Comprehensive Industrial Rehab Training and Advanced Functional Capacity Evaluation Training. Al is fluent in Spanish and has been treating patients in the Chicago area for over 20 years. Al’s continued education work includes McKenzie Method® training for low back and neck pain, Kinesiotaping®, and a variety of manual therapy courses. Having a particular interest in the treatment of and prevention of work-related and athletic injuries, Al integrates functional movement patterns into his rehab programs. Through the years he has successfully directed physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercises specialists, and admin support staff and has personally treated thousands of patients. In his free time, Al enjoys exercising, spending time with his two daughters and wife, a physical therapist herself!
